Railhead Equip

Most of you know that on the weekends (most weekends anyways) I work at The Railhead Saloon (a local rock/metal club) running lights/sound for bands. I wanted to take a few pictures of our setup there as a few people have asked what equip we use. I only took a few pics from inside our sound booth but will take pictures of our lights, strobes, fog machines, stage, amps, etc at some point. For now here are the EQ’s, Lightboard (we actually use 3 light boards) and the Soundboard (24 channel). They are in my Picasa Web Album. I’ll get more pictures later on.

Wow, thats amazing. That looks like a ton of controls and a ton of stuff to learn. My uncle was sound wiz and he had something that looked like that in his basement. Sounds like a fun thing to do on the weekends too man.

Yeah, it was a lot to learn at first. I also did this stuff in high school. I learned lights first and become a master on a light board and designing for live plays. Then I learned sound and hooking everything up, micing things, and of course set building. So, this is basically the ONLY thing I learned in high school that I’m actually using.
Its fun when the bands are good. When they suck, it can sometimes seem like a LONG night.
