Day Before

Tomorrow is the day. Most know that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Turkey, Stuffing, Pumpkin Pie and Football! What could you not like about it? I have made it a tradition that I cook the Turkey however this year I will be cooking everything. Mostly because it will just be me, Melissa and the kids. My Grandma will be making an appearance as well. Normally we have around 14 people over, not this year. The shorten guest list is not keeping me from cooking a huge dinner though. Not as big as it would be with more but more then we will need. In fact, here is my food list;

  • 18lbs Turkey
  • 7lbs Ham (topped with pineapple and cherries)
  • Stuffing
  • Mash Potatoes
  • Brown Gravy
  • Deviled Eggs
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Green Beans
  • Fruit Salad
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Cherry Pie
  • Pecan Pie
  • Fudge
  • Cookies

I will be the sole cook this time so we will see how things go as its a lot to cook and the first time that I’ve had to cook it all. Melissa has to work until 5pm so we won’t be eating until late so I have time to get everything done before she gets home. Overall it should be a great Thanksgiving and I’m looking forward to it. Look for pictures and maybe a video tomorrow as well.

Hey, what’s up James. I love thanksgiving too, I don’t eat all day until dinner and fill myself with endless amounts of delicious Thanksgiving food.

Nice to hear you’re getting a 360, hopefully you get Xbox Live.

And don’t expect Halo 3 to be Epic like a lot of people think, it was quite disappointing. But then again, I never enjoyed the Halo series anyway. You should consider getting Call of Duty 4, I will be picking it up soon and we could play it on Live together.

Also, a 360 must-own is Gears of War, I would definitely say your 360 gaming experience will be way better if you have it.

I do the same for Thanksgiving. I limit my eating all day until the food is done. Sometimes its hard as I normally cook and looking at the food all day and the pies sitting on the counter.

I will be getting Xbox Live, whats an Xbox without it? I had an original Xbox and played on Live non-stop. I was a fan of the Halo series so I’m looking forward to Halo 3. I plan to check out Call of Duty 4 as well as I’ve heard great things. I also plan to get Rock Band and check out Assassin’s Creed. I hope to get the 360 Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, so I’ll let you know and we can hook up online for some gaming. What games do you have now?

I currently have: Gears of War, Orange Box, Skate, Crackdown, CoD:2 and a couple other games not worth mentioning.

I plan on getting CoD:4 soon, I will be renting Assassins creed (sucks there is no Multilayer on that game).

So yea, we’ll definitely have to play some CoD 4 or something sometime.

Orange Box is on my list as well. Not sure about Skate, might rent it though. I’ve never been big on skate games.

It does suck that AC doesn’t have multi-player. How awesome would it be to either have a partner for assassins. Or even competing against each other (kinda like the movie Smokin Aces, several different people hired to kill the same person).

I’ll let you know when I get CoD4 and we will game.
