Generators

Over the past several months there have been a massive amount of “Web 2.0″ generators showing up everywhere. Most of them don’t really serve a purpose but I have found one that has actually come in handy. The Ajax Load Generator has gotten a few uses out of me including the saving icon displayed on 2532|Gigs when editing the CSS for the Mini-Calendar. So, if you ever need a great ajax loading image head over to the generator. Another one I recently came across is the Stripe Generator which looks like it could come in handy for some. I normally make my own stripes (they aren’t really that hard), however its there for those who need it.

Pixel Patterns

One of the best places to find patterns is of course Squidfingers. He currently has about a 150+ patterns which are great. I have personally used several of them. However, today I came across another Pixel Pattern Collection site by Kaliber 10000. k10 currently has just under 1,000 patterns. I have browsed around a little and most are great simple pixel patterns but they also have some fancy ones. A resource worth bookmarking.

Kuler from Adobe

Kuler is from Adobe Labs and allows you to select color themes to use in Adobe Products including Photoshop. If your looking for more color sites I would recommend my favorite; ColourLovers.

The CSS Tinderbox is an effort to support open source web design by providing very basic, yet solid, CSS/XHTML design templates that web designers and web developers can use as the foundation for their own projects. Very much like the Glish CSS Layouts.

Creative News

I recently came across a site called Creative News; News for Web Developers. Its a great place to find news on Design, CSS, XHTML, Programming, Standards, etc. Its still a beta site, but I look forward to the future of the site.

Time Sensitive CSS

Katgal has written a great article on Time Sensitive CSS. It adds a great effect to your site and is really simple to do. Along the same lines, you might find UDASSS useful as well. Its an unobtrusive CSS Switcher from the 24 Ways site.
