Had a meeting with a client in Lawton today so did a quick Me Today on my way there. Afterwards got treated to Applebees for lunch by Melissa’s mom.

The Invoice Machine

I have been looking for a quick and easy way to create invoices. I have tried several web applications and some that you host. I have never really found one that I liked. Today I came across The Invoice Machine which is a quick, no sign-up, web 2.0 invoice creator. It will generate amazing looking pdf’s ready to send. It doesn’t store ANY information on their servers however it does use cookies to store basic information (company name, address, footer). I gave it a few test runs and so far am lovin’ it. So, if your looking for a simple invoice generator I suggest at least giving The Invoice Machine a try.

Yet Another Month

Thats right, another month has come and is just about over. May was an eventful month, I just can’t remember why. This week I’ve been working on client stuff, mainly for Danny Webb’s Photography website. Its just about done and should be online here in the next few days. El Chico’s has been a run around due to the manager is really busy and spends alot of time out of town, so its hard to get meetings with him, i’m working on it though. I have also been asked about doing a site for a local funeral home. So, i’m looking to get that one here in the next week. This weekend I will be out of town. We are going camping (rain or shine, and yes it will rain) for the weekend because Sunday is my 22nd birthday. On Monday I will be heading to Texas to spend the day with my grandma. It will be one year since my grandpa passed away so I’m going down there Monday morning and taking her out to lunch to Cheddars. My client work is calming down a little right now so I’m hoping to finally get a design to put up here soon. I have been recently asked by a highschool buddy of mine who is currently do webdesign as well in another state if I would help him out with some coding work for his clients for a little side money, so I’m hoping to get that started as well. Also, keep a look out for the next version of 2532|Gigs, it will be the best yet. The new features are amazing. Nick has finished several new features already and now I have to get started on my stuff and get it finished, plan to start next week.

Heat Highlight Reel DVD

I spent most of last week and the weekend working on a presentation for the Lawton Heat Volleyball Banquet on Monday night. After more hours then I care to share I finally finished it just an hour before leaving for the banquet. Over it turned out great. Some minor flaws that I didn’t have time to fix, but everybody loved it. We were able to get a projector and brought our laptop to play it. Everybody bought a copy of the DVD (which i’m burning this week), so I made a quick $50 from dvd sells to 9 people. I will put up scans of the DVD covers I’m working on, gotta go have them printed soon. Anyways, I just put up the presentation on YouTube so you can see it here. It was split into two parts (but are meant to be aired back to back, so just hit ‘Play All Videos’ to the right.

Just quick updates on what I’ve been doing (besides that presentation). The Lawton United Soccer website will be finished by Friday (in fact I have a lunch meeting with my contact there). I have the basic layout done for the El Chico’s Catering website, just gotta style it and finish some graphics (I am also trying to setup a meeting with them on Friday). I was also recently contacted by Danny Webb a local photographer who recently took pictures for the Lawton Heat team and is interested in a website to showcase his gallery and services. We have discussed a few things and I’m gonna start work on it this weekend. There is no word on the Realtor website yet, but I will get a chance to meet her here shortly and discuss things. So, for now there is nothing set on it. Only for the Lawton United Soccer, El Chico’s, and Danny Webb Photography.

I will also be putting up a new design here sometime in June.

Is it true?

I believe it is. I am in the process of adding another client to my list. The past 2 months have been really good for 2532|designs and I hope it only gets better over the summer. I have been asked by El Chico’s here in Lawton to design a website for their Catering Service. It won’t be anything major, just a menu, a method to place an order and pay, etc… This will be my first food related client. I have so far designed for metal bands, a housing authority, a church, a production company, a volleyball club, a soccer club and now food. I’m attempting to get a wide range of items in my portfolio and so far its going pretty good. This new client is because of the Lawton Heat website. The Heat did a fundraiser today at El Chico’s and the head coach Mark was discussing the team and their website. It seems he was looking for somebody to do a website for them and wanted to hurry up and get one online. So, we talked for a few minutes about what he wanted on the site. Now I get to do a little rough design and setup a meeting with him to discuss it further… I may never get time to get 2532|designs back online if this keeps up. I’m just about done with the Lawton Soccer website (should be done by Monday). I was asked to put together an audio/video presentation for the Lawton Heat to include video highlights, pic slideshow, etc which is due by Monday for their banquet. Then I gotta see where the El Chico’s site will go…

LawtonSoccer

I have been asked to help redesign the Lawton United Soccer Club website at lawtonsoccer.com. The current site is very un-organized and each page is completely different. Some links open as .pdf, some open as .doc, etc. Its so hard to find information and its not very easy on the eyes. I hope to change this. I have a design in the works right now and hope to hear back from them and see what changes need to be made. This marks my first new client in two months. They are also in need of a new logo, so I hope to design a few versions over the next two days and see what they want to go with. They currently don’t really have a logo, however they use a scanned copy of a ‘patch’ as their current. Needless to say there is alot of work to be done as you can tell by visiting their website. This also marks my second non-profit sports client this year (first being the Lawton Heat Volleyball Club).

In other news; me and Jay are currently in the middle of redesigning 2532|designs. We hope to have the new layout up very soon so keep an eye out for it.
