Designs

LawtonSoccer

I have been asked to help redesign the Lawton United Soccer Club website at lawtonsoccer.com. The current site is very un-organized and each page is completely different. Some links open as .pdf, some open as .doc, etc. Its so hard to find information and its not very easy on the eyes. I hope to change this. I have a design in the works right now and hope to hear back from them and see what changes need to be made. This marks my first new client in two months. They are also in need of a new logo, so I hope to design a few versions over the next two days and see what they want to go with. They currently don’t really have a logo, however they use a scanned copy of a ‘patch’ as their current. Needless to say there is alot of work to be done as you can tell by visiting their website. This also marks my second non-profit sports client this year (first being the Lawton Heat Volleyball Club).

In other news; me and Jay are currently in the middle of redesigning 2532|designs. We hope to have the new layout up very soon so keep an eye out for it.

(re)Design [v3]

I said I was working on a new design and for once, I really was. Here is v3 (yes, I did skip v2) which is called ‘Last Day Alive’. The name comes from a song by Out of Your Mouth with the same title which has quickly become one of my favorite bands. If you haven’t heard of these guys then check out this review that Jay wrote recently. I also took the time to update all the pages (some where really out dated). The only page that is still left lacking, is of course, the resource page. However, I have a renewed interest in that page and a few ideas on how to set it up and hope to get it done by Monday. I’m sure I’ll find things to fix/change over the next few days, but overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It isn’t exactly how I wanted it and I’m not to fond of the menu setup, but it works. Today I opened some files in CuteNews and hacked away at a few things. After screwing things up a few times, I was finally able to get the post title to contain a title=”" attribute when you hover it. I really need to finish my blogging system and drop CuteNews (or I was actually thinking about switching back to WordPress, as the latest version has a lot of nice features that I would use). Anyways, this is it for now.

Let me know any comments/suggestions or if anything is broken.
