Playhouse Disney Live!

Today was Playhouse Disney Live! The show started at 3:30pm and of course I have to get to places early so we did. The show was pretty cool. In high school I did Stage Production and did the whole set building, back stage for live shows, running lights/sound, etc so I always love live shows no matter what they are. The kids loved it and Chase spent most of the time singing and dancing. It was actually pretty packed. The place holds almost 3,000 people and I would honestly say it was about 80% full. There were two shows today we had the second. We took several videos and some pictures. The videos won’t be up until sometime tomorrow (going to do a little editing) but the pictures are up on my flickr. I look forward to taking the kids to more shows (the wife is thinking about Disney On Ice: Nemo).

On another note; I wanted to say congrats to Matt Brett who had a baby girl, Addison, on January 22 (which happens to be my wifes birthday) and to Brent Spore who had his baby girl, Cadie, earlier today. Brent even got his wife to do a Me Today before birth. Congrats both of you.

Playhouse Disney Live!

As I posted yesterday we finally bought tickets to Playhouse Disney Live! for January 26 at the Memorial Auditorium at the Wichita Falls MPEC. This will be the first bigger event that we have taken the kids to. Chase, my 4 year old son, is looking forward to it a lot as well as Rachael, my 2 year old daughter. I’m looking forward to taking the kids however I’m not sure about watching Mickey Mouse for 2 hours or being around that many kids for that long. It will be interesting. I don’t mind Chuck E. Cheese as the kids love it and who doesn’t love Skee Ball. 4 tickets for Disney Live came to be $160 which wasn’t that bad. Of course today Melissa finds out the Doodlebops are going to be in OKC the day after. Thank god we already bought the Disney tickets, I’m not sure I could handle the Doodlebops.

Kids and TiVo

We have had a TiVo for awhile now and honestly couldn’t live without. Granted I also use my computer to keep up on our TV shows during the fall season as the TiVo can only record so many and we only have a single tuner Series 2 at the moment. We hardly ever watch live tv anymore. If there isn’t something already sitting on the TiVo to watch we normally don’t watch TV. Not that we spend a lot of time on TV anyways, we spend far more on the internet. My kids have become addicted to TiVo over the past several months when my 4 year old son learned to use the remote and skip his commercials during shows. Both kids (including my 2 year old daughter) can not stand to watch commercials and can not stand live tv anymore. They don’t have a TiVo in their bedroom yet and it just bugs them all day long. It looks like we will be looking to purchase a dual tuner TiVo for the living room and moving ours to their bedroom soon.

In other news we just bought tickets to Playhouse Disney LIVE at the Wichita Falls MPEC for January 26. The price came to $160 but we are in the second row from the stage and have end seats, so it was worth it. Looking forward to it.
